Lyndall M. Carl

CARL, Lyndall M., 85, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. She was born on September 20, 1927, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Forrest and Pansy (Wright) Barclay. In 1944, Lyndall married Norman E. Carl Sr. who preceded her in death in 2003. After raising their 4 children, Lyndall went back to school in her late 50’s to receive her GED and begin her long career for Clark County Family Services where she retired from. Lyndall had many hobbies including sewing, gardening and baking, but overall, she loved supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events and school activities. She enjoyed playing piano, was a past church organist and a current member of Central Christian Church. Lyndall will be remembered by many things, but a few that will always stand out is her feistiness, love for shoes, especially high heels and always eating her dessert first! She leaves behind to cherish these memories her 4 children, Jane (Robert) Browne of Lexington, KY, Norman E. (Linda Kirby) Carl, Jr. of Springfield, Sandy (Tom) Patton of Springfield and Kathy (Danny) Dettra of Richwood, OH; 8 grandchildren, Melissa (Rob) Ireton, Gretchen (Tom) Cevicelov, Jennifer (Brian) Harbage, Amy (Rob) Bishop, Jason (Tobie) Patton, Emily (Kyle) Adams, Samantha (Matt Shade) Carl and Matt (Tonya) Carl; 15 great-grandchildren, Sydney and Zayne Bishop, Sarah Jane and Grace Cevicelov, Colette and Jack Ireton, Lane and Aidan Harbage, Chloe Patton, Carah and Dusty Powers, Taylor Nicewaner, Caroline, Natalie and Julia Adams and Carson Carl; 1 great-great grandchild, Madden; sister, Janice Thomas; her trusted companion and four legged best friend, Molly Mae and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In honoring the life of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all, friends may call Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 10a.m. until time of services at 12p.m. at Central Christian Church, 1504 Villa Rd. Springfield, OH 45503. Rev. Warren Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery.
