Elnora Mae LaManna

Elnora Mae (Weaver, Hatcher) LaManna Dedicated wife, mother and friend, Elnora Mae LaManna left for her Heavenly home on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Born May 17, 1932, Elnora was the daughter of Kelly and Bessie (Winkler) Weaver, both of whom preceded her in death. Elnora will join her late husband, James LaManna, and her son Curtis Hatcher, singing in Heaven’s choir. Left behind to cherish Elnora’s memory are her daughter Dru Hatcher and son Fred (Melissa) Hatcher, of the Springfield area; daughter-in-law Mary Lou Hatcher Davis of Mississippi; brother Carl (Aiko) Weaver of Springfield; beloved grandchildren Amanda (Chris) Bowsman, Jessica (J.R.) Foster, Kali (Sam) Schneider, Vanessa Hatcher, Bruce Hatcher, Grace Hatcher, Jon Curtis Hatcher and Charlie Jo Hatcher in the Springfield area; Jamie Hatcher of Sweden and Corrie (Jordan) Scott of Mississippi. Also left behind are her great-grandchildren Eli, Caleb, Daniel and Adalyn Bowsman; Brynn, Elliott and Kathrynn Foster, and Kinley and Rowan Schneider; niece Penny Gibson; nephews Lincoln and Jason Weaver; and her dear friends JoAnn and John Harmon, Shirley and Howard Blair, and Joann Ross. Elnora rejoiced in serving God at Northside Baptist Church where she was a member and held positions of service for many years. As Music Director there, it was her particular joy to lead the choir and congregation in lifting praises to the Lord. The legacy Elnora leaves her family and friends is her love of God and music; her dedication to her family will continue to be an inspiration. Jackson, Lytle and Lewis will be handling the services which will be held at Northside Baptist Church in Springfield with Pastor David Hill officiating. Viewing hours will be at Northside on Friday, November 28 from 10:00 – noon, with the funeral to follow at noon. Interment will be at Rose Hill Mausoleum. It was Elnora’s desire that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Northside Baptist Church building fund. To all of the faithful friends, and to Pastors Dave and Kurt, who prayed, visited and gave encouragement throughout Elnora’s declining health, the family thanks you. It was a great comfort to Elnora and to all of us. God bless each of you.
