Clarence E. Wilson , Jr.

WILSON, Jr., Clarence E., peacefully left this earth Saturday morning to reunite at long last with the love of his life, his beloved wife Anne. He was 79. He came into the world May 13, 1936, but would say his life truly began in March 1961 while he was stationed in the Army in Gelnhausen, Germany. He saw a pretty young German woman walking down the street with her nephew and knew she was the one. He brought her back to America several months later where they married and began a rich and full life together. They started a family shortly after, welcoming daughters Nancy and Diana. "JR" was a farmer at heart, but eventually entered the trucking business where he became a proud member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed telling good jokes, bowling, slot machines, tractor pulls, country music and hearing the Gospel on Sunday mornings. Sunday afternoons, he could be found glued to the television watching Cincinnati Bengals' football. His proudest moments came watching his daughters play basketball and his grandsons play high school football. After Anne passed in 2011, he never missed a Madison Plains' football game and would always be one of the first to arrive to watch his grandsons practice. In addition to Annemarie, he was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Sr, and Mabel, and sisters Margaret and Janice. He is survived by sisters Jane, Arlene and Eileen, his daughters Nancy and Diana, her partner (and his buddy), Rachel Eberts, his four grandsons, CJ (Emily), Derrick, Matt (Taylor) and Andy, and two great grandchildren, Payton and Carleigh, who brought him the greatest joy, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. JR was fiercely proud of his family and would be the first to celebrate their accomplishments, no matter how large or small. His happiest moments were behind the wheel of a tractor or lawnmower or driving on road trips with Anne. He truly made a difference in the lives of his family and friends. JR was a proud man, who loved as hard as he worked, all with his own brand of humor. He could fix anything but the hole in his heart left behind when Anne passed. But now he his whole again. His legacy will be carried on by his family forever. The world is a better place because of JR Wilson and he will be missed beyond compare. His family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Hospice of the Miami Valley for their compassion and care in their time of need. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 5-8p.m. at INGLING WILLIAMS & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME-South Charleston, with funeral service on Thursday, March 24 at 12p.m. also at the funeral home.
